What is a serviceable address in fiber sales?

Serviceable address: A serviceable address is a home where the internet provider's network is already built and service can be installed. Fiber reps can only sell to serviceable addresses.

Fiber is sold street by street as the network is built. The provider gives its sales teams a list or map of addresses that can be connected now, and turf is assigned from it. A sale at an address that turns out not to be serviceable does not install and does not pay.

Freshly lit areas, where service became available recently, are the best turf in fiber sales because no one there has been offered it yet. Ask how new the serviceable areas in a market are before you travel for a fiber job.

Ask before you sign

How recently did these addresses become serviceable, and how many teams have worked them?
